CREO '23 FASHION SHOW
I am excited to share some of the work I've done with CREO '23. This project gave me the opportunity to work with many talented individuals and vendors to deliver a top-notch fashion show, even while maintaining a budget. Through careful collaboration and planning, we were able to bring the designers and our vision to life while showcasing a breathtaking display of style and creativity. Delve into the details of this project and the many elements that went into making it a success.
MAKEUP
One of the many responsibilities I had was being in charge of the entire makeup design process for the shows. I collaborated with two local beauty schools in order to have enough volunteers for both hair and makeup. Having over 70 models was a challenge as I had to ensure the looks stayed true to the shows brand while also being cohesive to all 20 designers collections. In order to organize, I created two separate spreadsheets in order to ensure every single model got their looks done before the show in a timely manner. This was crucial as every element in the show had to be timed in order the show to run seamlessly. Down below is a mood board I created as visual direction for the makeup & hair artist that was used during rehersals and show day.

FIXTURE BLOCKING
As a visual merchandiser, I understand how crucial layout & floor design is to deliver a brands message. Due to this, I took initiative to sketch out a floorplan according to the areas measurements. After hours of studying ongoing fashion show layouts, I wanted to recreate a format of three runways. Since we had over 70 models, I wanted to have two models walking at the same time in order to limit our show to under 30 minutes. From a business perspective, I also had to take into consideration that a certain amount of front row seats needed to be created in order to make more profit than the regular seated ticket sales. While I created the plan, the vendors we hired made it come to life as they helped ensure we had the right layout executed including VIP seating, lighting and music.

STYLING
Here you will see a few photographs of some of the models I took initiative to style. On top of helping creating the show, I partnered with some of the designers in order to help bring their looks to life. I communicated with them in order to get ahold of their mood boards and set up one on one meetings to ensure we had the same ideas. After that, I reached out to stores near by such as Aldo & Macy's in order negotiate a deal. I was able to borrow merchandise for 72 hours in exchange for publishing the stores logo in our pamphlets as sponsors. It took a lot of organization and attention tp detail in order to keep track of all the merchandise but after creating the final looks, it was all worth it.

MARKETING
One of the marketing strategies I pitched to the team was creating a selfie box. Social media posts were already being made in order to promote the show, but I wanted to turn the social media engagement to secured ticket sales. I was able to get the vendors to rent us the box for a lower sale while using outside resources in order to print customized vinyl stickers to promote our show and university. After we had to selfie section secured, posts were created in order to promote a deal with the crowd. Customers who bought tickets were able to take selfies during the show and post them with #Supernova23. In doing so, they were entered into a raffle where they would win a cute prize basket along with two tickets to Fashion Fest MKE. This turned out to be a huge success as there was a line for all three shows.
